Krasimir is a Bulgarian Grandmaster with a peak rating of 2563. He is a member of the Bulgarian National Chess Team. In 2015, he worked with the Super-GM Ivan Cheparinov (2710 rated player) for the World Chess Cup, Baku.
With an experience of chess coaching of over a decade, he has produced some of the best talents like European Youth Chess Champion FM Tsvetan Stoyanov, gold winner at World Chess Championship Nurgyul Salimova (U-12), Bulgarian national champion Valentin Mitev (U-14) etc.
Rusev has been the Head Coach in Veselin Topalov’s foundation where he worked with top global talents like Andy Huang, Christopher Chen, Annie Wang, Arthur Guo, Emily Nguyen, and Jason Wang.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Chess Pedagogy, a four-year undergraduate program designed to prepare top-level Chess trainers.
